By car : From Riva del Garda follow the regional road in direction Tenno, after the town follow the road for 5 minutes more and you reach the parking area by the lake

Trail description

From the parking area the information board indicates the direction for the lake. A staircase leads to the lake shore from which you can admire the turquois water and the mountains reflecting their colours.

This lake is the sixth largest lake in Trentino and its origin is due to a landslide coming from the nearby Monte Misone.

The trail starts from the stairs and follows the entire lakeside. During the winter and the spring seasons the water level could be too high and part of this walking trip could be underwater. In this period, due to the water level, a small island appears to be floating in the middle of the lake and this creates a unique view.
In summer the lake is one of the best places to find some fresh air, walk and relax.
Dogs are allowed from October to May.
It is recommended to visit the nearby medieval village Canale di Tenno, an historical town with traditional houses and narrow streets.
